What is Complete Grief Care?

Jan 29, 2019

Complete Grief Care is a company which offers supportive services to both individuals who are grieving as well as to those who know someone who is grieving. Complete Grief Care was started by Tina Norton, who is a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, trained in psychotherapy.  Tina has studied grief extensively and is an expert in grief.  Tina has faced multiple losses in her personal life, most significantly, the unexpected death of her son on Christmas Eve 2014. During her personal struggle to survive grief, she found many available services to be lacking, inconvenient, and not very helpful. Recognizing the need for improved resources for those grieving, and those who wish to support someone who is grieving, Tina started Complete Grief Care to improve access to help, for those who are struggling.

The services offered by Complete Grief Care are subscription based, as well as there are additional add on services which some may choose to use.  Subscription services offered include group coaching sessions led by a professional trained in psychotherapy, web based therapeutic exercises to help manage emotions and to anticipate experiences in grief, a supportive community, a place to share pictures and stories about your loved ones, helpful articles regarding the grief process and group share & support sessions.  Add on services available include limited availability individual virtual coaching sessions with Tina and extremely limited options for in person coaching by Tina at your home, group, or business.  Memorial products are also available for purchase.

Everyone grieves differently, and there is no one perfect approach to living with grief.  CGC offers individuals the ability to choose which services and exercises will be helpful to them and can opt to skip the others.

The sincere hope for those who use our services is that the crushing weight of grief will be lessened, and soon replaced by the ability to remember your loved one with fondness and love, keeping that person alive in your memories in a healthy manner.  There is no quick fix to get through grief, unfortunately there are a lot of maladaptive behaviors that can get adopted.  CGC aims to curtail unhealthy behavior choices by offering coping skills and planning.

The CGC service line will continue to be expanded over time to include even more content and evidenced based exercises, and additional services.  More to come…
